Dear Sir, Dear Madam,
I'm a French historian and musicologist. I'm journalist in the French jazz publication, Jazz Hot, too.
Now, I'm writing a book about the Duke Ellington Orchestra. In my research I found a trumpet player that I do not have any serious biographical information: George Seaberg (tp), your grandfather. He played with Duke Ellington in The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in 1945.
Now, I know that a member of his family is still alive, you.
Indeed, I would mention this musician, George Seaberg, in the dictionary of Ellingtonians in my book.
For this, I need some information, please:
Could you give me his first names : George & ?
What is his exact last name ?
What is his exact birthdate ?
What his birthplace (city, county, state).
What is the date of his death ?
Where is he died (city, county, state?
Have some photos of your grand father?
Please, could you send me 2 or 3 photos of this famous musician in 1940', 1950', 1960', 1970', 1980'?
Have you some archives and informations about his carrier for the dictionary?
I think that you understand the cultural interest of my request.
Thank you very much for your help and your support.
Best
