SCHNEIDERMEIER – At her home, 1501 Fourth Street, 10:00 o’clock Tuesday night, March 7, 1899, Mrs. Mary Schneidermeier, aged 77 years and 6 months.
Mrs. Schneidermeier was the widow of the late J.J. Schneidermeier, who died in 1892. She was born in Delbreht [sic- Delbrueck], Germany in 1821 and emigrated to New Orleans in 1848. She came north to St. Louis in1849 and to Fort Madison in 1854, residing here ever since. She is survived by four children, namely: Herman, Mrs. Mary Sibeke [sic-Sieweke], John, and Mrs. Theresa Decker. A resident of Fort Madison forty-five years, a kind neighbor and loving mother.
The funeral occurred from St. Mary’s church Friday morning.
