Thanks for responding with great information! Supposedly all the family cemeteries along the Ohio River (Scales, Buffington, Russell) were moved around the time Huntington was founded. The old family properties were subdivided and Staunton Ave extended. Spring Hill was started around 1872-1874. Supposedly William Buffington's coffin fell open and a grandson identified his remains. But the cemetery has no record of some if these events.
