I don't think we have a match. I checked my records more thoroughly last night. My great-great grandfather was Henry Ahrens, but he was married to Meta Bullwinkel. They had six children, one of them was Mary Ahrens, my great grandmother. Henry Ahrens was originally from Hanover, Germany, but after the Civil War, he and his family moved to Brooklyn, NY. Mary was born in Brooklyn around 1870. Does any of this coincide with any info you have on the Ahrens family? I have no contact with any Ahrens descendents at all. My great grandmother died in 1955. She was the last one of her siblings to survive. She lived to be 80 years old.
