Ggreat grandfather was Wesley Retherford, son of Stephen & Louisa Jane Garrison in 1850 census of Adair Co, KY. He was in 1st KY Light Artillery during Civil War. At some point he married Sarah Elizabeth Farris of (Franklin Co, TN), poss while he was on duty in TN? They moved to Macoupin Co, IL after war and Retherford eventually changed to Releford (Relaford). At least two other siblings and families also moved to IL.
