I am afraid this is not much help but I have a similar person. Mine is a Christian Reichert born in Germany. He emigrated from Baden. He arrived in New Orleans in January 1855. He apparently died before 1860 because the St. Louis City directory of that year shows his wife as the widow of Christian Reichert. I don't think he is your person though because he has children born in 1846. I estimate my Christian Reichert was born about 1817. Nevertheless there were Reicherts in Baden. My Christian's wife's maiden name was also Reichert. I have found a lot of Reicherts, but no trace of a Christian.
