I stumbled across the message board just now while throwing around searches for some of my mother's side relatives. Marie Rappold (née Mary Winterrath or Winterroth) was my mother's grandfather's aunt. Sounds like your husband and I are cousins of some sort. Who was his grandfather?

I deeply regret not having asked more questions when my parents were still alive; my mom died in 2006, my dad in 1987, my grandmother in 1978, my grandfather - Marie's nephew - in 1962. But at least there's the internet and places like Ancestry and RootsWeb.
