I am also a descendent of Robert Pyle, the immigrant, and have connected Howard Pyle, Denver Dell Pyle to my ancestry. I have not yet seen an accurate connection to either Ernie Pyle or Sgt. Alvin York as many of my fellow Pyle researchers have claimed. I would love to know your research connecting Ernie to this immense Pyle family. All I have seen is that researchers can accurately trace his lineage to his grandfather and it stops there. There have been lots of Pyles residing in Indiana through the years, but that doesn't necessarily imply relationship. Please help if you can.
