Roger was the son of Cuthbet Proctor of Shawdon (d. May 06, 1543) Mother Last Name Roddam.

Roger was the grandson of William Proctor of Nether Bordley and the great-grandson of Geoffrey proctor of Nether Bordley in Craven.

Roger and Barbara Gray proctor have at least the following children:

1. Thomas Proctor of Shawdon Spouse Jane Eden (Daughter of Robert Eden of West Aukland)

2. Geoffrey Proctor of Shawdon Spouse Sarah Bunnye

3. John Proctor

4. Rowland Proctor
