Hi to all the Prings out there,
My maiden name was Susan Pring. I live in New Zealand now, but my family are all 3rd generation Australian, and OUR Prings originate from two villages in Somerset, Milverton and Wiveliscombe. James Pring and his wife Anne Payne immigrated to Australia in 1859.
Earlier this year my husband and I travelled to England to visit these villages, and do research at the Somerset Records Office in Taunton.
There are still a few confusing trails to untangle. Maybe we all go back to the same origin way back. When I grew up we thought we were the only Prings alive, as my grandparents and uncle were dead, and dad only had one sister.
I have been part of ancestry.com for a couple of months, and I love knowing that thereare so many Prings out there.
