My niece and nephew are in this line. Alexis "Lexie" Politte is the son of Alexis Politte (b.1828) and Rosine Degonia (b. 1834). Alexis was the son of Leandre Politte Robert (1792-1859) and Mary Anne Sylvain (1799-1840). Leandre was the son of Hypolite Robert (b. 1752) and Marianne Boyer (1755-1812). There are some interesting stories about Hypolite's origins (http://genforum.genealogy.com/polite/messages/90.html, http://genforum.genealogy.com/robert/messages/262.html) I have many census, cemetery and marriage records to validate the line up to Hypolite Robert, not sure about the other stories.
