My grandfather Reinholdt Peter/Piot Piontek was born in may 1883. he was the only son but had 4 sisters:-
1) Martha/Marta she married someone withsurname Wanke and lived in Baltym(spelling?)
2) Bertha/Berta....no info on her.
Antonia(Toni).Married and lived in Glatz near the Austrian border. There is a sad story about my grt.aunt Toni and my grt.grandmother. This is what my mother can recall, her aunt Toni and Husband owned a chemist+Grocer shop in Glatz. The revolutionaries raided the shop and emptied sugar, flour etc..allover the floor. The murdered her husband and delivered him to their home on one of the shops goods trolley. When auntie Toni went to the door they shot through the house door and the key was embedded into her stomach.My grt.grandmother lived there too and when she came to the door and saw her son inlaw dead and her daughter injured she was so traumatised that she went insane. I don't know what year this happened and my history is not that good.
3)Paula.
Reinholdt my grandfather married Rosamunde Broda. She was born 28th june 1888. They were found of going to the Opera. They had 6 children:-
1) Angela(or the equivalent)born may 1910...she had an illegitimate daughter Renata born c1944-46. I think Angela married and her husband was killed in the war, then she died 1946/47 from a shadow on her lung.My granparents brought Renata up.
2) August born c1912. He married an Olga Croker/Crocker(spelling?). They had one son Eugene. August was missing presumed dead on the Russian front.
3)Mary born 6th dec 1914. She married twice and had 3 children.
4) Johanna Lydia born 11th oct 1924....my mother.
5)Susanna born c1926 died age 3mths.
6) Raimund born 1928 died between the age of 18-21yrs.
I have a bit of info on my grandmothers side and also my auntie Mary's family but they will not carry the Piontek name.
