Surnames: O'Sullivan, Shriner, Gill
Hi there,

Am looking for any information that may be had on this ancestor of mine, George O'Sullivan, born in 1866. Father was John (Johnny) O'sullivan (born 1820- boatbuildr) and mother was Mary Ann Murphy (ba 1820).

He had 7 siblings and I am descended through his brother Daniel Sullivan (we changed back and forth from O'Sullivan to Sullivan a bit) who was on e of the few not to emmigrate.

I Know his sister Mary emmigrated the the US as did her sister, Nora, who apparently married a German by the name of Mr. Shriner. His brother Jim emmigrated to Australia, married and had two daughters which know nothing about. Brothers John and Denis both emmigrated to the US as well and it appears Catherine was the only other of the siblings to stay behind in Ireland.

What I have learned of George was that he was a very talented accordion player but I know nothing else. I have a letter from one of his nieces that describes receiving a present from, I think, Mary O'Sullivan of some silver from a silver mine in Montana.

I would like to know more about George but also about these kids in general. Their mother and father, John and Mary, are my currently roadblocks with my family and can't get any further back so am tentatively wanting to explore their American lines now.

Any help appreciated!
