Lyn, I saw your message to Tracy O'Berry and have some ionformation about the person you may be thinking about. I have a copy of an article I got from a book at the state archives many years ago. This mans' name was B.G. O'Berry, born in O'Berry, Georgia, August 7, 1897 and died February 16, 1958. He was a son of Berry G. and Janie O'Berry. He was not a state senator but a very high Judge who served for the United States as a judge in Munich, Germany from 1946 to 1950. He later served in private practice in Douglass, Georgia and as Judge of City Court in Douglass for two terms. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Georgia on January 4, 1922 and to the Supreme Court of the United States on February 29, 1928. In 1951 and 1952 he was admitted to practice before all the courts set up by the Allied High Command for Germany. He graduated from Willacoochee High School, Gordon Institute in Barnesville, the University of Georgia and Harvard University Law School. I hope this information is what you were thinking of.
