I was not able to view your email address in your ancestry profile. Another reason I like the rootsweb boards better than the ancestry boards, as ancestry makes it so hard to get contact with another researcher by email.

You had posted in this message group last September that an Asa O'Neal who was in Crawford Co, AR in 1850 and Sebastian County, AR in 1860 were was the son of a Joseph O'Neal who was in Crawford County by 1821. You list the son's of Joseph as:

Unknown son b: 1822
Asa O'Neal
Peter O'Neal
Joseph O'Neal
Hezekiah O'Neal
William O'Neal

Based upon the location(s) and the names of his son's, I think it is very likely that this Joseph O'Neal is somehow related to the Joseph (b: Abt 1770) that I have listed in my research at the following link:

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&d...

I have found another Marmaduke in the O'Neal family at this link, and the Joseph at my link had brothers Peter, William, Hezekiah, and Asael(sp? - could be Asa), all names which appear in your research as son's of the Joseph that you have researched.

I'd be glad to exchange what I know about the older generations that I've researched. (I believe this family was in NC and then went to TN after the American Revolution). I have not researched the descendants in AR and in TX as much.

Feel free to reply here on the board or to email me.
