I am trying to find evidence to support Jonathan Norris (father of George Washington "Wash" Norris of Ashe/Watauga County, NC being the son of the John Norris who was married to Ann Gilbert. I recently found an agreement filed in the Ashe a County Deed books between a John Norris and apparently his son, Johnathan, wherein Johngives his son pretty much everything in return for Jonathan's caring for him and his wife in their old age. But this was dated in the mid-late 1830s... Which John and Jonathan could this be? it doesn't sound as if it's this John (married to Ann Gilbert), or the one I had who died in the late 18th century. Or is this a different Jonathan? I am really confused.....
