Mary, Johann Neisen and Katharina Hewel/Heuvel definitely came from Feusdorf. I found a copy of their emigration from Germany this week while looking for my own Niesens. It states:
Der Ackerer (farmer) Johann Neisen, geb. 1.11.1841,
mit s.Frau Katharina Hewel, gb.17.5.1839 in Rachtag,
und den Kindern:
Margarethe, geb.13.3.1862,
Anna, geb.25.12.1866,
Joh.Wilh.,geb.23.5.1865,
Maria, geb.21.9.1870,
Mathias, geb.20.4.1872.
nach N.A.
21.4.1873
They were also found in a census record in Brownstown, Brown Co., MN. You can find this family listed on Tom Pick's Eifel Baptisms listing at this URL:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pick/feusd...This proves he was the son of Peter Niesen and Anna Magdalena Schmitz of Feusdorf, Germany. He apparently married Catharine Hewel/Heuvel in 1863 in Feusdorf.
There was no Elisabeth Neisen in the Feusdorf listing, nor in the list with this family, so I'm not sure how she plays into the picture. I'm just trying to separate out the various Niesen/Neisen families.
