Tom
I did some more checking after I got back from trip.
General Register Office; Registers of Clandestine Marriages and of Baptisms in the Fleet Pri
son, King’s Bench Prison, the Mint and the May Fair Chapel,
RG7 series of the English National Archives
Marriages of August 1725, Joseph Newbrough
? Chapole Smith
Eliz. Archer
Below Joseph Newbrough was (Stacey)
From a description of this record, ”Records includes full names of the couple, their marital status, their residences ( generally parishes) usually the grooms’ occupation, and the minister’s name or initials.”
“Some registers, however, only give Christian Names” “For sailors, the name of the ship is sometimes given.”
“Stacey” maybe the name of a ship?
The only other thing I can add. If Joseph Newbrough was from the Parish of Kingswinford, an son of John Newbrough (the elder) an Ann.
I have put together information of John Newbrough (the elder) and his ancestors back to a Thomas Newbroke of Ambelcotte, Parish of Old Swinford, Worcestershire, His will of 1592 lists wife Elinor, sons Joseph & Jasper ( in will listed as Jaspre) daughters Elizabeth & Ann
Jasper in early records listed as Newbrook, when he died in 1647 listed as Newbrough of Stourbridge, Parish of Old Swinford, Worcestershire.
Jasper was grandfather of John Newbrough (the elder)
I’ll keep checking Maurice Newbrough
