I ran across this message after I had written to you earlier today.
I believe we ARE cousins. Our fathers were brothers, and our grandfather was Lawrence H Moorman of Loveland, OH. BUT he was born in Cincinnati, OH on the corner of McMillan and Moorman Avenues, Walnut Hills, as was his father, Joseph P Moorman, born there in 1857. Joseph's parents came from Germany where his father was a cabinet maker.Joseph was one of thirteen children. He was President of The Queen City Mantel & Grate Co in Cincinnati, caught his partner cheating and was so enraged he died of a heart attack at age 38. Lawrence was not educated in Washington D.C. He worked at Shephard Chemical in Cincinnati, OH., and then when he and Grandma moved to CA in 1949 he worked with his son, Art, in his well-drilling business.
