My greatgrandfather Francesco Monti split the Villa in half with his brother in the early 1900's. So half the villa is on Corso vittorio and the other half faces the street behind it-Via Cittadini. Francesco Monti married Carolina DiCostanza from Barano-they had Maria Maddalena, Filomena, Errico,Gaetano,MariaGrazia,Giuseppe,Anna, Rafaele. To my knowledge our Villa was not named. However since the names are so similar I am wondering if your family are decendants of Francesco's brother Antonio. I will be in Ischia in June and will ask my older family. Do you know which corner it was located and what else is around it? To get to us if you're walking up from the port of casamicciola by the anchor-you would walk up Via Della Misercordia from there are steps on your left that take you up to Vittorio Emanuele from there make a left walk a few yards and the gate is on the right hand side. also do you know if the Villa was named after someone or the name of your clan??
