I received your message and wanted to reply. My Montis left Ischia maybe a hundred years ago. My Grandparents came from Saltrio and Viggiu Italy. I was told as a child, all Montis' came from Ischia. The Priest I mentioned is Pietro Monti a Monsignor with the Church. Monsignor Monti wrote the book Ischia. If we are related, It would be very distant as I'm sure my family did come from Ischia at some point. I hope you keep searching as I have for years and I find this hobby to be fun and interesting.
