Hi,

I am tracing my wife's family tree and her last name is Melusky so there might be a connection here. I have heard rumors of Lithuanian branches, but found none. My traces lead back to North Carolina so far.

The variations in spelling so far have been: Milewski, Mileski, Melusky, Meluskey, Chmielewski (The C is silent), and Miliszewski. The last one is not well known and might not be a relative, but all seem to lead back to Poland and Lithuania/Russia.
