William was born in 1846, so about 7 years older than Herman and 18 years older than Frank - not impossible that they could be brothers - families were so big at that time that there could easily be that much spread between eldest and youngest. When did Frank and Herman come to the U.S.? Where did they settle? William came in 1867 via New Orleans and up to St. Louis. He and Emma Kurz were married by the pastor from St. Pauls Evangelical German Lutheran Church in St. Louis. It's changed hands, so not sure where to find the church records that MIGHT have parent names, but I'm working on it. :) He was married a second time in 1891 in Fremont, Nebraska. I'm working on finding those records, as well. Neutrebbin is close to the border with Poland, but still a 45 minute drive by today's standards.
