Thank you! I did not have some of this information!!! Maria Agnes was my great-grandmother. I did not know the birth order of the girls. Maria Agnes came to America to Carroll County, Iowa, in 1893 to marry Joseph Heinrich Schwabe. Apparently, she traveled alone. I knew Maria "Anna" had come later as she married Joseph's brother, Bernard August Schwabe. One of Anna Macke Schwabe's sons gave me the other two sisters', Bernadine and Marie, married names, but little else. Apparently, there was a brother, Heinrich, that died as a young child.
I was fortunate to have help finding copies of the baptismal and marriage records for Bernard Macke and Maria Anna Baumer at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Damme. I also had a copy of Maria Agnes' baptismal record.
Supposedly, the Schwabe brothers were from the same part of Oldenburg. However, I've not been able to find anything. The were the sons of Bernard Schwabe and Catherine Schweben or Schwegmann. (I have conflicting information on Catherine's maiden name).
