Jean H. McDougal

Jean H. McDougal, 88, Butler, formerly of Monongahela, passed away Wednesday at the Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.
She was born in New Eagle, daughter of the late Harry and Effie J. (Siberling) Hansen. She married John A. McDougal on Nov. 14, 1953, and he passed away in August 2002.
Surviving are a son, John R. "Jack" and wife, Deborah, of Altoona; a daughter, Debbie Ferguson and husband, John, of Butler; a stepdaughter, Bonnie Beck and husband, Norm, of Wilkes-Barre; five grandchildren: Kylee and Kaytee McDougal, Shannon Ferguson, Brian Beck and Cindy Searfoss; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Eileen Russell of Elizabeth and Edith Brown of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Miller.
Jean was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards and crafts and especially crocheting and knitting.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, the Rev. Dr. J. David Panther officiating. Burial will take place in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
