Harry is the son of Alexander Gillen McCloskey b. 1844 and Martha Hill b. 1845, dau. of James Hill and Nancy McKinnon. Harry, Sarah, Martha, and Alexander died and are buried in Arcata, CA.

Alexander is the son of Henry McCloskey b. 1822 and Catherine Gillen b. ca 1820 Coleraine, County Derry, N. Ireland, the daughter of Alexander Gillen or Gillian.

Henry is the son of Henry McCloskey and Ellen Bothick. This Henry's father is James. Ellen's father is Sir Allen Bothick.
