I am researching my gggrandfather, Silas E. McBee. He was in Scott/Mississippi County, Missouri from 1830 to late 1840s. He has two female children in his household, one being the approximatel age of your Sarah Elizabeth McBee. He also had a daughter that married a George Cravens in Mississippi County, Missouri. It appears that this daughter may have died in childbirth and George Cravens gave his children to Silas E. McBee to raise in approx. 1852 (we have the probate file). This first wife and two daughters of Silas E. McBee seem to have disappeared after 1840. He goes to Coffee Co Tn and then to Marion County Arkansas in 1857. Perhaps this Sarah Elizabeth McBee may be one of his daughters? We know little about Silas E's first family. We can only surmise that one of his daughters may have come to Arkansas and married a first cousin Calvin McBee but we have no proof. Any other information regarding your McBee/Dyer line would be most welcome. Any information that we have we would gladly share.
