I've not been able to place Issac Massingale, supposed father of James. I would suggest looking in Jefferson County, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee. That is the route quite a few of my Massengales followed to Missouri. They, too, then fanned out to Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Rarely did they move alone.
