My Vermont Marcott line:
David Marcott born abt 1823 in Canada mar Ladorna Gilkey abt 1849. She was born 21 Feb 1823, the daughter of Silas Gilkey and Almira Denison. Their known children include: Mary Addie born 1854 (Burke twp,Caledonia County,VT.);Fred; and Almira. In the 1850 Census, David's family lived next door to Lewis Marcott,age 32 (Mary A. age 27 born VT. and Joseph Rinaw born Canada age 17 - Laborer). I supect David and Lewis were brothers.

David moved family to Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, Iowa between 1860 & 1870. Isaac Denison Gilkey Ladorna's brother) lived in Cedar Falls. I also understand that Ladorna's sister Rosalie also lived in Cedar Falls.

The David Marcott family moved to Amboy, Cottonwood County, Minnesota, before 1880. Addie married Walter Mullinex/Mullineaux in March 1870 in Cedar Falls. Addie died 01 Aug 1912. This is my line.

The parents of David Marcott were on his gravestone: "Joseph and Josie Marcott."
