Does anyone have any information of the birthplace of Richard Mann. He marrried Amey Tilsley in Shoreditch St Leonard 1784. Amey was witness to the Marriage of Hugh Mann and Hannah Knight in 1787 and I am convinced there is a connection between Richard and Hugh. I have guessed he was born around 1760 and on his sons baptism he is recorded as being a weaver but I would really like to know where he was from and if they could be brothers or cousins maybe? On an 1851 census Hugh states he was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire so i'd be interested if anyone has any Richards from that area born around the same time.
