Surnames: Maharg , Brown, Miller
Jean,

If Ann Brown died in 1857 at age 77, she would have been born around 1780. Ralph Brown was born in 1779. Could he have been her brother rather than her father?

Most of my information about the Mahargs comes from county histories posted on the internet. I can add a little information based on the Birth and Death records from an old family Bible that no longer exists.

John E. Maharg had a son, John Maharg.
John Maharg married Mathilda McCandless (parents unconfirmed)

They had the 6 or 7 children, including my great grandfather, John Everett Maharg. I believe John Everett was known as Everett.

John Everett Maharg (b 3 Nov 1844, d 25 May 1893)
married Louisa C Miller on 17 April 1867. According to an obituary, Everett died of blood poisoning stemming from a cut or puncture wound on farm equipment. Everett and Louisa lived their entire adult lives in Butler County, PA. They had two children. Charles Russell Maharg (b 1879, d 1894) never married. Walter Everett Maharg, was born 26 Nov 1882 in Butler County and died 25 May, 1960 in Harvey, Cook Co., IL.
