Thomas Maguire 1785-1867 married Lucy Patterson 1806-1875 on 24th Nov. 1820, in Cornagee church (now Mullaghdun Parish Church [C of I]). They lived nearby Cleggan townland in Co. Fermanagh. This is between Enniskillen, Fermanagh and Blacklion, Cavan. Their ticket was probably purchased in Blacklion, July 7 1847 and they sailed from Londonderry later in July.
Best guess for Thomas' origin is Drumlyon, Rossory, Fermanagh.
Best guess for Lucy's origin is I don't have a best guess yet.
After arrival at Quebec on Sept. 15 1847, the next appearance of the family is in Toronto in 1851.
Still looking for their son James' marriage to Ann Harvey, possibly in Hillsdale, Medonte twp, Co. Simcoe, and birth of first child Robert William.
Also still looking for James' involvement in the Toronto Naval Brigade formed in 1862 as "Naval and Pilots Brigade".
