Hi Dale,

Thomas Law is my 5th great grandfather who came to Philadelphia from Belfast in 1795 and settled in western Va in 1795. (My grandfather grew up on a farm there in the 1890s to about 1915.)
I believe they were Jacobites who were forced to flee their native Scotland.
I am trying to trace them back to Scotland and to their Clan which I believe is Clan MacLaren
I believe they may have come from Perthshire, Scotland.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
