I'm no sure- James MacDonald b1860-80 was my g.grandfather who it was said came over with Hudson Bay Co. from Scotland and married Belinda Gardner, had son Clinton in Minnesota and many grandchildren. I am Rob at robbmacdonald@yahoo.com and the macdonald tree for us is macdonaldtree@hotmail.com. We have searched in vain for James, maybe James Gilbert, maybe James Charles, maybe James Clinton MacDonald. One person suggested he had married an Indian in Minnesota? Maybe a James William MacDonald or McDonald. Any info much appreciated.
