Lesly, I checked my data base for an Elizabeth Philomena MacDonald and did not find a match, however, there are many stories and branches of Sir John's family. My family had the same story connection to Sir John, but in my 15 years discovery, found that we were related to Sir John Sandfield MacDonald, first Premier of Ontario. In my family tree there are a couple of Elizabeth MacDonald's. We had a branch of our family move to Manitoba and Saskatchewan. It was through my ggUncle, Angus MacDonald and Annie Campbell who had a daughter Elizabeth, born in 1888. Also had an Elizabeth MacDonald who married a Allan Gilles. She was born in 1807.
