SHELBY: Dana F. Beistline, age 82, resident of Shelby, Ohio died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Crestwood Care Center.
Born February 4, 1930 in Shelby, Ohio to Clifford and Wilda (Lybarger) Beistline she had been a lifelong area resident. A 1948 graduate of Shelby High School, she lived on the family farm taking care of her parents in their later years.
An avid gardener, in her younger years, she planted beautiful flower gardens and grew gourds at her family farm and was active at Kingwood Center, Mansfield, Ohio.
She also enjoyed attending the flea market in Ashland and researching her family history.
Dana is survived by cousins including Bruce (Dolly) Bistline of Plymouth, Jeff Bistline of Shelby and Randy (Diane) Bistline of Mansfield, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Lemuel & Emma Beistline and John & Arminda Lybarger; two uncles, Glenn and Maurice Lybarger and one aunt, Orpha Mohn.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16, 2012 from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby, OH.
Reverend Tom Snyder, of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
