I've come to the belief that Francis was born in 1647 and was the son of John and his 1st wife Rebecca. I believe her father's name was Francis, and that would fit as the namesake. While I have nothing hard, I've found nothing to contradict it either, and to me it makes better sense of John's life events that transpired thereafter.
