I'm looking for info on my gg-grandfather Charles Henry Layton. His daughter Charlotte's birth certificate states he was born in the USA, was a mariner, and his parents were Charles Layton and Charlotte Wade.

He came to Australia sometime before 1873, when he married Emily Eliza Price in Sydney. He was in his mid 30s at the time of his wedding.
