I'm curious to learn more about the Iowa ancestors with Sioux Indian heritage. Aloysius Laufer's parents were Charles E Laufer and Theresa Erschens. I am directly descended from a brother of Charles E Laufer and a sister of Theresa Erschens. It would appear that the Laufers and Erschenses were pretty close! (lots of Laufers marrying Erschenses, along with Erschenses marrying Hovens).

Anyways, my records don't have any Sioux Indian heritage, but I would love to learn more...perhaps it's true!
