The first step is look up his entry in the Births, Marriages and Deaths Register. An online version (& free lookup) can be found at:

As it is, his details are:

The next step, using those details, is to order a copy of his birth certificate from the General Register Office at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/. However, there is a charge per copy.

The birth certificate will give his parent's details. Hopefully, from those you will be able to find their marriage certificate via FreeBDM and thence to their birth certificates and so on.

Please note that the BDM register only goes back to about 1838. Beyond that you need Parish records.
