Sue, Don't know if there is a connection. Frank Kovach came from the village of Patakos, Austria-Hungary. Village is now called Packanovo and is in Transcarpathian oblast of western Ukraine. He was a Greek Catholic. The name Kovach means "smith" and is a very common surname. Thanks for your response.
