If you are looking for Knabs in Hungary and Germany, I can help you. My wife's father was Knab and their ancestors came form Germany. My wife still has relatives in Germany in Belm and Daentzingen and in Budapest, Hungary. We are in Toronto, Canada. We also have Knab relatives here in Ontario.

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I have information on the Knab line that goes back to my great grandfather, a german that lived in Mokrin, Yugoslavia. I want to trace back further than him. If this is a project you would be willing to do, please let me know what your fees would be. Do you do them by the hour or is it based on success of each name found? I am not familiar with this process of using geneaology consultants.

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
I think you misunderstood me. I am not dealing with research. I just have Knab relatives in Germany, Hungary and Canada. My wife's maiden name is Knab. I do not know any Knabs in Yugoslavia. What I know, the Knabs used to live in Black Forest and Swabian Jura area in 1800s. They still live there. My father-in-low had German mother language with Swabian dialect. Because they kept their language from generation to generation they should come from Swabia. Unfortunately, my father-in-law just died a year ago and I am not able to ask him about his heritage anymore. One of his relatives family lives there near Stuttgart. They moved back from Hungary after the II World War. I am doing this only, because I am interested of my Knab relatives living all around the world. If you searching for your Knab ancestors, you should look for in the mentioned area. I hope I helped you to go in the right direction.

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
I suggest you visit a local church in your area called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They offer free access to their computers with the most updated files in the world. You will be able to search on the Knab name on files for Germany and Hungary. I think you will find success. Ask the church when their Family History Center is open.

I do not recognize these names. My line goes back to a William Knab and Hermania Kranker. The little village of Mokrin, Yugoslavia is where some of my family comes from; also from Munchen, Germany.
