Sorry but my Charles Kemp was born in Sussex County, NJ around 1766 and died in Pendleton County, KY in 1825. The family first moved to what was then Westmoreland County, PA after 1780 and were in PA until at least 1790 before moving to KY.

Perhaps there is a link somewhere. The family did tend to pass first names on. My Charles was a son of Reuben Kemp, born around 1740 in NJ. Reuben had at least one brother, Edward, who remained in PA and there could be others who remained in NJ.
