Valentine's father, Christian (Christy), married one of the girls in my family. When I found the church book that listed their other son's (George)birthday with the same date as I had from his baptism at St. John's Lutheran church in (then) York county, it sealed the deal for me. Chrisy's wife was Catherina Amsbaugh, who was the daughter of Valentine Amsbaugh and Barbara Roser. So, my Christmas present for this year is a whole boatload of her descendants to track down and add to my family tree!
