Thank you, I would really love to see that page. It's a good clue-- maybe the best we'll have besides the dna test results. You should have your autosomal test done at FamilyTree DNA. it's called Family Finder. Not too expensive. Then you'll see if you carry any New World (Native American) genes. I had 2%, which is about right since it is several generations back.

We've only read about the James Madison Jones story on this Ancestry post. It wasn't passed down through the family. However, my mother Passed down a story that she thought was about her grandfather Edward Jones (which is Drusilla and James' son), that Edward was in the Navy during the Civil War. Maybe she thought it was referring to her grandfather Edward, but maybe the truth is that what she heard was really a story about James, her great grandfather who was in the merchant marine!

Can't wait to see that page! I have a picture of my grandfather, Robert F. jones who is Edward's son (Drusilla's grandson) that I will send you to see if there are any family resemblances.
