I am hoping to prove that Lovilla or Lavilla Huffman, wife of William Huffman (1794-1857) is Lovilly Sears, daughter of David and Huldah (Carr or Carrier) Sears. The Samuel May book on the Sears family mentions Lovilly Sears as wife of Wm Hoffman. However he lists her birth date as Oct. 25 1786. I'd like to know where he got that date since Lovilla Huffman's date of death or burial is Oct. 25, 1876 and she is said to have died in her 85th year which would make her birthday in 1791 or so. Also there are a couple history books from McHenry, Il that mention the couple but dates and locations are inconsistent. Does anyone have any other information including Lovilly Sears proving her birth date and location and/or connection to David Sears or William Huffman? Thanks
