This is for anyone interested in John Horton (d. 1813 Kershaw Dist., SC, m. Elizabeth). I have found another son of his - Henry Bingham Horton. Documentation for Henry Bingham Horton comes from a suit filed by his widow Mary Horton in 1813 to partition his land between herself and their 13 month old daughter, Charlotte. (Kershaw Dist. Pleadings and Judgements Book, 1814-1820 p. 14, can be found online at FamilySearch.org) Charlotte’s guardian was George Petty and they are both mentioned in John Horton’s estate records with Charlotte identified as John's granddaughter.
