My father was born in Detroit and adopted in 1930. My brother has returned a yDNA match to Orin Delbert Hood (from Massachussets), who was 100 years old when he tested and has since passed away. Orin descended from Joseph Hood (c. 1750, Ireland). The research I've done on the Hood family has ties to Pennsylvania.

I am trying to connect to my dad's birth family. I've been tested here, and my results are at FTDNA and GEDMatch. My brother has both atmDNA and yDNA results at FTDNA and is also on GEDMatch. Since I have had my mom tested, I was able to phase my Dad.

I'd love to see how I match to any Hoods.
