I would like to add that Serena was daughter of Russell Holliman and Marta Miller Holliman from Perry and Wayne Counties. The spelling of Lorene is incorrect and should be Serena. has been error carried forward. I have spent years studying this family. Many have mixed up Serena and Seleta by thinking they were same person. Nancy was youngest daughter. To clarify, three daughters of Russell and Martha Miller Holliman were Serena, Seleta and Nancy. I am from John Riley Holliman line. He was my 2nd great grandfather. His brothers were Thomas Holliman and William Brazeale Holliman. William Brazeale "Brazeale" most likely did not have children. He died in New Orleans in 1864 of dysentery. He enlisted with Union Army and in 1st Battalion of New Orleans. There are no military records for Thomas Holliman, who married Darley Ann Hutto, not Confederate and not Union. It is possible he is same Tom Holliman within Knewt Knight Gang. John Riley Holliman was in the 7th Regiment Company C of Mississippi. He was captured at Viksburg by Grant's Army and paroled upon signing oath not to take up arms against Union until exchanged. He was tried for desertion by Confederacy but acquitted. Their Father, Russell, was in the 8th Infantry Company K of Mississippi. He re-enlisted several times after his term of service had ended. Russell Holliman's parents were William Holliman and Rachel Coleman of Georgia. Rachel's parents were Daniel Coleman and Unity Carroll of Warren County, North Carolina.
