I am posting these land records which were given to me several years ago. In these land records, there is mention of a Samuel Hilburn SR and Samuel Hilburn JR. just to complicate things.

Dates are by the ones I ordered. The one you would be interested in Saml
Hilburn to Fred Hilburn does not say much other than this: ...I, Samuel
F. Hilbourn Junor of Copiah County...The other part is the two pieces
sold by Samuel to Frederick are the pieces in Sections 2 & 11 purchased
by Samuel in 1837. I would imagine that the other one on the above list
was the piece of land purchased in 1835.
